We are all interested in keeping our pets healthy, that’s why we created the website, Healthy Pet Network.org. We are a character based coalition of forward thinking animal health care professionals and advocates who promote proactive care, preventative practice and innovative techniques in animal health. Our mission…to create the Healthy Pet Network.org, a cutting edge website which is the home base of a unique online pet health support community.

Membership in HPN is FREE and offers access to an interactive network of information, education, products and services that promote and enhance Whole Animal Health and promises all the tools needed to create a ‘foundation of wellness’ that will help keep all pets and their human companions safe from catastrophic illness and disease.

At the heart of our site is a Pet Health Library showcasing the life’s work and ongoing articles tips and advice from Dr Al Plechner DVM. HPN also features; exciting LIVE interactive, educational events and webinars, a monthly newsletter, the Healthy Pet Digest, which is filled with pet health advice and information, and access to the best available, naturally healthy Pet Foods and Supplements and environmentally sound pet care items, which are all, “Plechner Approved”.

The latest addition to the Healthy Pet Network is the pet lover’s answer to “MySpace” and “FaceBook”, Critter Power.com. As the social neighborhood and entertainment arm of HPN, Critter Power’s FREE membership is populated by a diverse community of people and pets with two things in common, our love for our pets and the delight we have sharing them with other pet lovers across the planet.

HPN was also created to mainstream the clinical practice and research of Dr Alfred J Plechner DVM. Dr Al, as he is known by his dedicated following, has devoted over 40 years of his life to clinical practice and research. During that time he discovered a endocrine related immune system imbalance, A Typical Cortisol Imbalance Syndrome (Plechner Syndrome) which is caused by a defect in the middle layer of the adrenal glands.

This defect creates a decrease in the production of cortisol hormone (stress and infection fighter) while at the same time causing the currently present cortisol hormones to become inactive. The syndrome also causes an increase in the production of adrenal estrogen which binds (blocks) the thyroid receptors and limit’s the availability of thyroid hormone, leading to a dangerously imbalanced immune system.

To combat this potentially lethal syndrome he has developed the “Plechner Protocol’ which consists of a ‘hormonal specific’ diagnostic blood test to determine the nature of the imbalance and a treatment protocol using physiological (low dosage) injections and/or oral dosing of hormonal replacement supplements to regulate and maintain the proper balance. Once the endocrine system is back in balance, the immune system kicks in and all disease signs disappear.

The Plechner Protocol has saved well over 150,000 dogs, cats, horses and people. Animals that were considered to be “without hope” and at “ the end of the line”. It has also shown a very pronounced success rate on not only the treatment of Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)( feline equivalent of HIV), but also Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) and Feline Leukemia (FELV). Cats with FIV and FIP achieve a 70 % recovery, while cats with FELV have an 85 % recovery rate.

The amazing results his protocol has garnered in numerous cases of potentially lethal diseases and the human health care possibilities it presents in cases including; allergies, auto-immunity problems, coronary occlusion, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, cancers and even Aids has inspired a talented group of pet health care advocates to launch a major campaign to mainstream Dr Plechner’s findings to the people of the world.
